No wonder there was a problem. The rag around the suction strainer won't help 37275 which started later in the day once the rag was removed !!!!   Barrow Hill  (377)

33111 sits in the roundhouse on Sat 24th May. There are now only a couple of jobs to do before it departs for Swanage at the beginning of June   33/1 Preservation Company Limited  (259)

Despite DBS trying to withdraw all the class 60s in 2009 a few have stayed in the fleet to work the very heavy oil trains. Here are a few photos taken in the last couple of years of them at work on the LNE Route.

A rare sight these days a class 60 on the sand and just to make it better it was 60011 and the cloud cleared after a grey afternoon in Doncaster.

A few years ago there was a plan to preserve one of the former LU TC Units for various reasons this hasnt gone to plan. However on the 02nd March a small amount of work was done on the unit. Here are some of the photos showing the poor condition the unit is in

33111 is now based down at Swanage having replaced 33108 so I've been down there a bit more. Top railway, top bunch of lads and a good night out with The Red Lion and East Bar normally involved.

As I was passing by and the sun was out I decided to drop in at the MRC to see what was going on as I hadn't been for a few years. It was worth it just to see two Type 4s in blue

Why take photos of units? That was the question I use to ask. I couldn't understand people taking photos of them. What was the point unless there was an engine on the front. However I have learnt the error of my ways and regret not taking any photos in the past so now I just try and record whats going on.

A few shots of HNRC locos at Barrow Hill mainly in the workshop showing the excellent standard of work on the overhauled locos. Although Harry gets some criticism from certain enthusiasts he does a lot of good things behind the scenes to help people with locos especially at Barrow Hill. All of these photos are taken with HNRC permission and the workshops that they are traken in are not open to the general public. This is waht happens when you invite a few friends out for your birthday. Booger looks like he might have had a good day but I think he was suffering a little on the Saturday although I can't say too much after it took me two hours to drink a pint
